Project CARS

Project CARS

Postby Ken Bell » 18 Mar 2012, 03:01

Don't know if any of you are following the Slightly Mad studio's CARS game soon to be completed, But have a wee looksee at the beautiful screenshots here.

http://www.virtualr.net/project-cars-ne ... eo-trailer

I am a Team Member, having paid 25 Euro 6 months ago and get a weekly build, but don't download every week as the exe file is getting bigger all the time.

So, I don't think rFactor2 is the be all and end all, as this is a very good simulator. Runs perfect on my machine. To be honest, I am not keen on rF2 at the moment as I feel the cars look like toys but maybe its the way I have it set up.

New titles coming up are quite a few: rF2, CARS, GTR3, Asseto Corsa, F1 2012, and also a new Ferrari Sim so there will be plenty to choose from.

I do hope that the powers that be at Flatout will be open to trying out new games or perhaps listening to feedback from members as with all these title emerging we will have a large choice to choose from which may prove difficult.

Multiplayer coming soon...athough it's being developed from scratch so it won't be even close to fully working anytime soon.
Dedicated servers will be there of course as well as 30+ slots on servers.
Just to be clear, the game isn't soon to be completed like Ken said. I'm hopeful for a 2012 release but wouldn't be totally surprised if it goes to 2013. Remember that the game is not even in alpha stage of development.

Also it's now called Project CARS.

If you get the Junior pack (10€) and wait 2 weeks you'll get all the content so far. If you get the Team member pack (25€) you'll get all content available immediately.

Junior members get a new build the first friday of every month. Team members get a new build every friday. In other words if you buy the Junior pack you can only use the build from March 2nd until the new one comes out for Juniors on April 6th.
