Club V's Club Championship

Postby Adz1200 » 16 Apr 2012, 18:08

Club V’s Club Historx Championship

Gameracer Flatout Club V’s MARA-E

Starting on Wednesday 25th April we have a new challenge ahead, an inter-club championship running Historic GT v1.95.

We will be competing for the inter-club HistorX crown with Mara-E, a Sim racing club formed in 1998 who share a passion for this great mod with us. Check out further info here http://www.mara-racing.org/main_content/history.htm

Following a introduction through Tudor Morris to Mark Craggs at Mara-E we have been able to work out a schedule for a series that both clubs hope will see many drivers taking part in and do the best you can for your clubs points total.

Wednesday nights will be hosted by Mara-E and we will look after the Sunday rounds. The points system will be like this:
Club points will be awarded (if gained by finish place of course) to the same number of members of each club to a maximum of the lowest number of members taking part from each club.

Example: MARA have 7 0n the grid Flatout have 6, Club points would only be totaled from the best 6 from each club.

Points will be awarded down to 15th place:

1st : 25 points
2nd : 20 points
3rd : 18 points
4th : 16 points
5th : 14 points
6th : 12 points
7th : 10 points
8th : 8 points
9th : 7 points
10th: 6 points
11th: 5 points
12th: 4 points
13th: 3 points
14th: 2 points
15th: 1 point
These points will be awarded for completing 70% or more of the winners race distance

Pole position – 1 point
Fastest Lap – 1 point

Our Teamspeak channel will be used for all races using the current password.
Our server will be the same as ever "www.flatoutclub.com" and Mara's will be "Mara Europe" the server password will be announced to members only.

Download the mod here: http://historicgt.8.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=69 or viewtopic.php?f=9&t=3331 (members only)

Some cars in some groups seem awfully uneven. Can anybody pick any car or is there some hidden logic I missed?

I thought the same, that perhaps each car can only be picked once or something but 60 minutes is not that short time, i agree 1 out of 4 cars can be instantly ruled out in each group but there are atleast 2 good options every section with powerful sprinter vs economical handler

It is a very hard thing to match up 10 sets of 4 cars throughout the mod, the cars have so many differences in terms of weight, handling power and such like but initially two vehicles per group were found and are even enough through a lap to offer choice, the other two in some cases were close but not quite as quick over a lap, however this may change from driver to driver if there are preferences on style and handling.

A single make per track was considered but with a mod this big, to only have 10 cars available throughout seemed a missed opportunity.

In some cases there may be one car per group that rises to the top in terms of choice but we all have the same choice so it should be fair in the end.

To clear up, there are no restrictions on what car you pick from the group for that track, try them all and race with the one you prefer !

Guys there is a slight change in the car set for the first race.
We are moving out the Ferrari and replacing with the Renault A110-1600s.

Sorry for the inconvenience.
Cheers all.
